What is cannabis grading?
Cannabis grading is a standardized product evaluation process where you assess the quality and your experience of cannabis products through a detailed analysis of key attributes like appearance, aroma, flavour, and effects. Grading through the TDC Grading Systems standardizes this process and ensures that all of your product evaluations are tracked digitally on the Grading platform to fully digitalize your cannabis grading and journaling.
Why does cannabis grading matter?
Cannabis is a unique and complex plant that expresses itself in many products that cause highly individualist experiences. Standardized grading empowers producers, retailers and consumers to understand their products in much more detail. As a result, grading matters to develop a deeper understanding of your cannabis products and experiences, allowing you to make better sales and purchasing decisions by knowing every product detail instead of buying/selling blind plastic packages.
How do the TDC Grading Systems work?
The TDC Grading Platform includes a variety of Cannabis Grading Systems, including the Bud Grading System, Concentrate Grading System, Joint Grading System, Vape Grading System and Effect Grading System. All of our systems have been developed to minimize any bias and deliver accurate and objective results by guiding the user through a fully illustrated sensory cannabis evaluation process. What is a good grading score?
Once you have completed grading your cannabis through one of the cannabis grading systems, the grading platform will assign the respective product score to your grading record.

Our cannabis grading systems score the products on a scale of 1-5.

On this scale, we classify products with a score of 4.5 or higher as “Excellent (AAAA),” products with a score of 4.4-4.0 as “Very good (AAA),” products with a score of 3.9-3.5 as “Solid (AA),” products with a score of 3.4-3.0 as “Average (A),” products with a score of 2.9-2.5 as “Below par (B)”, and products with a score of lower than 2.5 as “not recommended to consume (NR).”

One thing that is important to mention here is that these scores only reflect the qualitative perception of a given product.

As a result, these scores are not indicative of the actual effects someone may experience from a product, as the effects of cannabis are highly individualistic for each consumer.
